Being an actor we face lots of financial crunch especially in struggling phase.  Around 10yrs back I met with Paresh Gosar, while discussing he came up with a term called “Financial Literacy” and I was very surprised to hear this term as I never had heard this, that we can be literate in the areas of finance as well. I was more surprising because in our culture and in my conditioning, I never heard that we can manage our own finances, it was always like, we earn and we spend. There was no concept of saving, investment and there was no idea of living financially healthy life at all. 

When Paresh told me about Financially Literacy Program, I was curious to understand and know more. Through his wide experience he said, “Start small, don’t start with big”, I was reluctant as my income was comparatively small, so I told him I have to pay rent, all insurances and bills but he said “Everything will be managed you start the habit of small savings”. With his support and guidance I took courage and started investing and I am still investing with him. It has been a great journey since then. 

Year 2020, we hit by pandemic and source of income was low, I thank Paresh that he pushed me in to investment, and this investment gave me good returns in the time pandemic as well. It helped me to have a stable life when there was no source of income, I am still moving on with belief that things can turn around.
